GEPT全民英檢片語(一)：run into (sb)                    │ by  Athena

run into (sb) 是to meet someone you know when you are not expecting to，也就是我們中文說的「巧遇」。

例如上次我在百貨公司瘋狂大血拼的時巧遇某個學生(真是不好意思)，就可以說While shopping in the department store, I ran into one of my students. 還有我逛逢甲夜市時也曾遇到一些同學(不好意思，當時又是在血拼 )，I ran into some students at Fongjia Night Market.

除了run into之外，bump into, happen to meet也都有「巧遇」的意思。 例如 We ran into/bumped into/happened to meet Athena when we were in Hong Kong last week. (我們上禮拜在香港巧遇Athena。)

這樣下次同學再巧遇Athena血拼時，就知道該怎麼說了吧？
